Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Nights...
 
Wednesday Nights at University are set to return next week, September 4th! We are so excited to have your kids and hopefully your whole family back with us in the middle of the week. There are a few changes we want to make sure everyone is aware of:
 
1. Dinner (5:00pm-6:30pm) will be held on South Campus. We'll have seating available in the Atrium and John Wesley room. There will also be space for children to play (with parental supervision) on the playscape and in the new, gated outdoor space.
 
2. We will be using the Check-In computers on Wednesday Nights now too! This change will help us keep consistent standards of safety across all Kids programming. Like on Sunday mornings, you can print check in stickers for your children before taking them to their drop-off locations. Keep your receipt and turn it in when you pick your child up. This also means the Kids Welcome Desk will be open on Wednesday Nights! We hope this will be helpful for everyone needing directions, with questions, or attending for the first time!
  • Children in 3rd-5th grades who have a signed form on file with Self-check privileges can print their own stickers and take them both to their program location (McCreless Gym). However, while they are welcome to check themselves IN, we do not release children without an adult from Wednesday Night Programming. All children need to be picked up regardless of age. If you have questions about this policy or need to make special pick up arrangements, contact Amy.  
3. Programming for all ages is 6:30pm-7:45pm including Wednesday Night Kids (1st - 5th grade), WNK Preschool (3 yrs-kinder), and Childcare (2 mos.- 2 yrs.). Notice the age changes to our programming breakdown! Kindergarteners will get another year experiencing all the goodness in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd with Pastor Holly before moving to Wednesday Night Kids next year.
  • Children in childcare (2 mos.- 2 years) or in WNK Preschool (3 years - Kinder) can be dropped of on the first floor of the Kids Building after printing check-in stickers.  Staff will be available to direct you to the correct rooms.
  • Children in Wednesday Night Kids (1st -5th grades) can be dropped off in the McCreless Gym after printing check-in stickers. After gym time or table top games in the adjacent room, WNK will move to the 2nd floor of the Kids Building. Parents can pick up their elementary age child in room W215. 
    • Wednesday Night Kids will be joining the church in reading the Jesus Story Book Bible. Kids will hear the week's story and then choose how to respond by selecting a breakout session. Some breakout sessions are discussion based and some will be experience based. We are excited to see how the kids respond!
